Aalok Pravanjyan Welfare Society has been working towards generation of livelihood options for unemployed youth and women, artisans and entrepreneurs and also those interested in the vast realm of media and communications.

The society has so far conducted several crafts exhibitions and has also organised internship and training programs for young media enthusiasts and media students in association with the office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India and the State Level Advisory Committee for Students and Youth Welfare, Govt. of Assam
